The Technical Support Specialist will perform duties as assigned by the Director of Implementation and Client Services in support of the client services team; This includes coordination of support for MEPS products, fielding support calls, maintaining documentation for installation and support, managing updates for installed devices in the field including Windows Critical updates, per-update deployment testing to assure minimal impact and other support tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Monitors the support tool.
Stage, test and deploy software and system critical upgrades.
Assist in preparing units for shipment.
Phone support as needed.
Attends all meetings and training as required of the position.
Assists with product validations.
Assists with creating forms/document templates as requested.

Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Microsoft Word and Excel
Windows 8 and 8.1 operating system
Security software knowledge (including or similar to Windows Defender)
Support software (including or similar to Desk.com) Database knowledge
Managed Service Provider knowledge (including or similar to GFI Max)
Email, scheduling, spreadsheets and presentation software
Be self directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision, maintain staff confidentiality, and keep an organized work environment.
Balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost optimization and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience is desired.
Working knowledge of English to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to effectively present information to company and supplier employees, as well as top management.
A self-starter, quick learner with the ability to work independently and efficiently, and have a professional customer service attitude.
Basic mathematical skills necessary.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to apply principles of logical and scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
